Quick biography
Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell was born on December 18, 2001, in Los Angeles, California. Homeschooled by musician parents alongside her brother Finneas — who remains her producer and co-writer — she uploaded “Ocean Eyes” to SoundCloud in 2015 at age 13, and the internet did the rest.
Her 2019 debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? made her, at 18, the youngest artist ever to sweep the Grammy’s Big Four — Album, Record and Song of the Year plus Best New Artist — in a single night. She has since won multiple Grammys, headlined the world’s biggest festivals, and written two James Bond themes, winning the Academy Award for Best Original Song for “No Time to Die.”
